1 - Airport Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (IATA: CDG • ICAO: LFPG)
commonly known as Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, the airport is located 23 kilometers away from Paris, in the north-east. Biggest airport in France, its commin name comes from Roissy-en-France city which it occupies half of the territory, and the General Charles de Gaulle who was the president of the French Republic. It is also sometimes called "Charles de Gaulle Airport", "Roissy Airport" "Paris-Roissy Airport "or" CDG Aiport. " Its operation is managed by Aeroports de Paris.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport stretches over a vast area equivalent in size to the left bank of Paris. When it was created in 1974, the airport was not intended to become a hub. Result : the successive constructions of terminals (T1, T2, T3) have made the distances becoming far too impressive for the passengers.

2 - To reduce the distance between the differents terminals, Aéroport de Paris set up a free subway in 2007 : CDGVAL. This automatic metro running  24 hours a day, connects all the terminals between them. (Except T2G)
Since its inception, ten million of passengers use the service each year Metro Auto CDGVAL at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle. Free, accessible to all, three times faster than the bus from a terminal to another, this subway line is the shortest in France but it has revolutionized the largest airport in Europe. CDGVAL traverses a total distance of 3.5 kilometers in 8 minutes.The line consists of five stations that serve all the strategic points of the airport: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 with the RER and TGV station, Terminal 3 and the PR and PX car parks.

3 - Stations
- TGV station: called "Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2", it is located between Terminals 2F and 2D
- RER station: 2 stations to reach Paris are put at your disposal in Roissypole and the Terminal 2F
- Bus Station: about 70 bus lines are connected to Roissypole

5 - Taxi: Since the opening of the Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris taxis are the only one allowed to take passengers to the arrivals terminal. From the airport if you have to reach the hotels in Roissy-en-France, Paris Nord 2 Area or Parc des expositions Villepinte, we recommend you to book in advance taxis of Roissy tel: +33 (0)1 34 29 92 70.

6 - Hotels: Nearly 30 hotels (7,000 rooms) are located around Charles de Gaulle Airport and 85% of the hotels are located in the town of Roissy-en-France. All the hotels are connected to the terminals by regular shuttle.

The airport creates noise pollution. Nevertheless Roissy en France village and its hotels are fortunate to be located in a green zone, which can explain why the hotels have decided to develop their activities there and why this village is so lively near CDG Airport.
Classified by the prefecture as a zone with moderated noise pollution ( in green on the map) you can notice that the village and Roissy's hotels are located right between two airport runways in  the North and two airport runways in the south.
You will be very pleasantly surprised by the tranquility reigning in the village, even near an international airport of this size.
You will definitevely sleep quietly since all the hotels of Roissy have soundproofed rooms. Some guests even told the Office that they slept with their windows opened.
